Who else would have given India the Songs which can deeply touch the Soul like never before ? You,Sir,were the One man Army who brought out the very beloved form of  Indian singing,"Ghazal",to the mass of India from those Courtyards of Royal Gharanas and Urdu ruled Mushairas.The music which you,maestro,has given to us is going to last for Generations.



That lingering voice in "Hothon se chhoo lo tum",That soothing tone of "Tum Itna jo Muskura rahe ho",That subtle pain of loosing the innocence of childhood in ""Wo kagaz ki kashti", That Touch of romance in "Zhuki zhuki si nazar",That carefree nature of a True lover in "Hosh walaon ko khabar kya"...Aah, innumerable memories are connected with your calm Voice,Sir. Memories of those nights will remain as everlasting as your voice.


We,surely,will miss you. By all means,you were the King of Ghazal.
