Rockstar : A Review

There are two types of movies. The ones, the happy-go-lucky ones, which make you forget your problems, tensions, worries, during as well as afterwards the movie. And the ones, which leave something behind even after you leave the movie hall. Irrespective of you like or dislike the movies like rockstar, one thing is for sure,You simply cant get away from the vibes it generates.

The anguish,The melancholy,The loneliness,The nothingness rockstar created to me after the curtain fall, stayed for a long real time with me. It was the first half which created
the mood for the whole movie.Whether its "Jungli Jawani" adventure or "Desi Daaru" adventure, the duo was immensely watchable as well as believable. In spite of, an average acting sparks from Nargis, both "R" factors of this movie kept it flawless. It was the first 15 mins of second half where movie started to loose its grip.Frankly,it could have been edited by some 15 mins. But then Ali has always some surprise for us in the store : The return of Jordan. After his long journey to make his dream come true, finally he realized where his heart does belong. Kudos to the art director who keenly kept changing the look and the style of Jordan along with his metamorphism.

Rahman. You,Sir,are back in your original charm. There are hell lot of scenes in the movie where I felt that Imtiaaz would have first listened the background score created by the maestro , and then would have directed the scene. The background score is so deeply engulfed with each and every frame of this movie . For example, a small scene where Nargis had Mahendi in her hands and she tells Ranveer to hug her. Even after hugging two times, she feels something incomplete. And when He hugs her third time, tightly,at the very moment maestro has put an simple piano piece as if the melody was generated when the two hearts got connected. Not only all the Songs carry forward the story to the next level, they leave behind a deep imposing moment. Be it the Divinity of Kun Faaya Kun or flamboyancy of Haawaa Haawaa or Rebellious anthem Sadda Haq,trust me,they all are real GEMS.

And finally, The new age Rebel. Jordan. I must say,Melancholy is Jordan's Bitch. No two opinions in that. If it was not Ranbeer, It was not Rockstar .Not With any damn other. Never.

And Imtiaaz Ali . You brought back the very lost thing of Bollywood : Experiments.  Take a bow.

Go. Immerse yourself in this melodious chaos.
